For 50 years, a pregnant woman's medical history has been recorded and shared with healthcare professionals on paper. Denmark has now made part of that process digital, nationally, for the first time.
We've helped design Graviditetsvisningen, a new view in the Sundhedsjournalen that lets healthcare professionals share a pregnant woman's data digitally, region to region. If she moves, or needs care far from home, the information can now follow her digitally, instead of the responsibility falling on her to carry the right paper folder along.
The solution is part of a joint public-sector effort, led by the Danish Health Data Authority in collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior and Health, MedCom, Sundhed.dk, the Danish Health Authority, the Organisation of General Practitioners, Danish Regions, and Local Government Denmark.
Within that, we worked with Sundhed.dk and healthcare professionals from all of Denmark to design this specific view: 30+ midwives and doctors took part in a series of full-day workshops, testing and refining wireframes and prototypes along the way.
